Our mission is to meet you where you are, highlighting innovators making it easier to live lighter on the planet, sharing practical swaps you can try today, and providing guides and stories that bring sustainability to life.

Douglas Sabo
FOUNDER
Douglas Sabo is a recognized leader in sustainability and sustainable living, with a particular passion for empowering everyday consumers to make more conscious, climate-friendly choices.
As the inaugural Chief Sustainability Officer for Visa — the global payments brand reaching nearly 3 billion consumers, millions of merchants, and 15,000 financial institutions — Sabo led the company’s efforts to advance sustainable living and catalyze a greener form of commerce. His work included initiatives to engage consumers through their payment accounts, drive behavior change in areas such as sustainable travel, recommerce, public transit, and electric mobility, and strengthen market-wide capacity through research and cross-sector partnerships. At Visa, Sabo helped launch industry platforms like Travalyst, Brands for Good, and Healthy & Sustainable Living, served on World Economic Forum councils on sustainable travel and tourism, and was a long-time advisor to Sustainable Brands. During his Visa tenure, he also served on the NYSE Sustainability Advisory Council and the Adweek Sustainability Council.
Today, Sabo is the founder of Seeing Green — a platform dedicated to helping people make smarter, greener choices across everyday life, from how they eat, dress, and travel to how they power their homes and vehicles. Core to the platform is the Solutionist of the Day series and SeeingGreen.eco, where he spotlights and amplifies emerging brands making sustainable living more accessible. Seeing Green also spans social channels, including Instagram, YouTube, Bluesky, and Substack, with a podcast and coalition launch on the horizon.
Sabo is a sought-after voice on sustainable living, frequently speaking at events and in the media on the future of consumer behavior and green innovation. He currently serves as Sustainable Living Executive-in-Residence at Sustainable Brands and advises both early-stage solutionists (e.g., Karma Wallet, Electrify Expo, Count Us In) and sustainability enablers (e.g., SolBid, Persefoni, Cloverly). His leadership has earned recognition on the Top 100 Chief Sustainability Officers, ESG 50, and Top 100 Corporate Responsibility Leaders lists.
