Spirits, Wine & Beer
From wine to beer to spirits, the drinks we share carry a real footprint. Today, producers are reimagining traditions with cleaner energy, better ingredients, and lighter packaging — making every toast a little kinder to the planet.
Sustainable Drinks & Spirits
Sustainable drinks aren’t just lighter on the planet — they can be more rewarding for makers and more enjoyable for consumers. From regenerative vineyards and greener distilleries to cleaner energy and circular packaging, innovators are making it easier for all of us to find and enjoy more sustainable choices when we raise a glass.
Spirits
From gin and whiskey to rum and vodka, distillers are rethinking how spirits are made. Many are sourcing ingredients from regenerative farms, investing in renewable energy and experimenting with lighter packaging. Look for brands that highlight local ingredients, cut back on waste and make it easier to enjoy a cocktail that feels good in more ways than one.
Wine
Winemakers are finding new ways to protect the land and lighten their footprint. That means vineyards that focus on soil health, water efficiency, renewable energy, biodiversity, and bottles that are designed to be lighter and easier to recycle. When choosing a wine, consider options from producers who emphasize organic, regenerative and/or sustainable practices and packaging that keeps shipping and waste in check.
Beer
Brewers are working to make each pint more sustainable — from how the grains are grown to how the beer is brewed and packaged. Many are moving to renewable energy, reusing water in their processes and offering cans or bottles designed for lower impact. Supporting breweries that share these values helps make beer more refreshing for the planet too.
Packaging
No matter the drink, packaging carries a big share of its footprint. Innovations like cans from recycled aluminum, lighter bottles, refill programs and even paper-based bottles are all helping to cut waste. When raising a glass, look for packaging that’s designed to be reused, recycled or made with fewer resources in the first place. Small choices at the shelf add up to big changes across the industry.
