What Caught Our Eye
Youth to the People's Superfood Cleanser, a daily facial cleanser that brings kale, spinach and green tea out of the smoothie glass and into your skincare routine.
Why We Noticed
Your face might be ready for its daily dose of greens.
Youth to the People's award-winning Superfood Cleanser takes inspiration from the ingredients you'd expect to find in a green juice, blending antioxidant-rich kale, spinach and green tea extracts with vitamins C and E.

But this isn't just about putting superfoods on the ingredient list. The gel cleanser is designed to remove dirt, makeup and impurities while helping maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier. Its pH-balanced formula cleanses without leaving skin feeling stripped or dry, and a fresh, herbaceous scent adds a little spa-like appeal to the daily routine.
The brand also puts some science behind the experience. In a four-week consumer study, 90% of participants said the cleanser effectively removed SPF while feeling soothing on their skin, while 85% said their skin felt healthier and more hydrated.
And for anyone paying closer attention to what's in their skincare, the formula is vegan, cruelty-free and made without sulfates, parabens or silicones.
Go On…
There's another reason this cleanser caught our attention: Youth to the People has put real thought into what happens to the packaging after the last drop.

The Superfood Cleanser comes in a recyclable glass bottle, reflecting the brand's broader preference for glass over single-use plastic packaging. And rather than requiring customers to purchase a new bottle every time, Youth to the People also offers a refill pouch.
According to the company, the refill format uses 96% less packaging by weight than two standard 8-ounce cleanser bottles. That's a meaningful reduction for a product designed to be part of an everyday routine.

The brand's approach extends to what goes inside the bottle, too. Youth to the People evaluates ingredients for their sourcing and environmental impact, prioritizing plant-derived materials while also using science-backed synthetic ingredients when they offer better performance or sustainability benefits.
It's a reminder that thoughtful skincare isn't just about what a product leaves on your face. It's also about what it leaves behind.
And if the idea of washing your face with kale sounds a little unusual, at least this is one way to get your greens without having to drink them.
