Pebble Gives Its All-Electric Travel Trailer More Solar Power — and 300+ Updates

The 2027 Pebble Flow adds expanded solar power, smarter towing assistance and a long list of owner-inspired refinements to an already unusual all-electric travel trailer.

Pebble is rolling out the second model year of its all-electric Flow travel trailer — with more solar power, new software and towing capabilities, a new sleeping configuration and more than 300 refinements made since the first Flows hit the road.

Among the biggest changes for 2027 is a significant expansion of the Flow’s ability to generate its own power.

Pebble’s new Self-Powered Package combines the Flow’s existing 1.1 kW rooftop solar array with four portable 500-watt panels, bringing total peak solar input to 3.1 kW. The system can accept up to 4 kW of combined solar for owners who want to add even more.

Pebble says the new setup can generate enough energy under favorable conditions to exceed typical daily use — including air conditioning — with extra power going back into the Flow’s 45 kWh battery.

That could make spending extended time away from electrical hookups a lot easier without firing up a generator or relying on propane.

More Than More Solar

Solar isn’t the only thing getting an upgrade.

Pebble OS 2 adds a new 40 kW Boost Mode that can provide additional assistance from the Flow’s own electric motors when climbing steep grades or when drivers want to preserve more of their tow vehicle’s range. The free software update also adds automated solar energy management, improved surround vision and remote monitoring.

Inside, buyers can now choose a twin-bed floor plan that adds about 30 cubic feet of under-bed storage and can convert to a king bed with a center cushion. Other updates include a larger awning, redesigned bathroom features, additional lighting and a long list of smaller refinements shaped in part by feedback from Pebble’s growing group of owners.

And some of the new capabilities aren’t limited to people buying a 2027 model. Current owners will also receive Boost Mode through a free software update, while a new solar input port can be retrofitted to existing Flows to expand their solar capacity.

A Different Take on the Travel Trailer

Seeing Green has been following Pebble since well before the first Flow reached customers.

The bigger idea caught our attention from the start: rethink the traditional travel trailer around electrification rather than simply replacing one or two pieces of it.

The 25-foot Flow is fully electric, using its large battery to power everything from cooking and hot water to heating and air conditioning. Its own electric motors can help propel the trailer while it’s being towed, while regenerative braking sends energy back into the battery.

And Pebble has used automation to tackle some of the less-than-fun parts of RVing, too. The Flow can automatically hitch itself to a tow vehicle and can be remotely maneuvered into a campsite or parking spot.

Now that more than 100 Flows are actually out on the road, the 2027 model offers an early look at how Pebble is evolving that original idea based on what owners are learning from using it in the real world.

The 2027 Pebble Flow Magic Pack starts at $159,000, while the Founders Edition starts at $189,000.
