Branch Basics Brings a Simpler Approach to Everyday Cleaning

What if cleaning your home could mean cleaner air, fewer products and a routine that worked for the most sensitive person in your house?
At its core, Branch Basics is built around a simple idea: a truly clean home should be safe for the people living in it, especially the most sensitive. That philosophy, combined with a concentrate-based system that replaces most of your cleaning cabinet, is what makes them a Seeing Green Solutionist of the Day.

One bottle, most of your cleaning cabinet retired

The heart of Branch Basics is what they call the Concentrate. It’s a multi-purpose formula that, depending on how you dilute it, becomes your all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, streak-free glass cleaner and even a laundry solution.
The lineup expands from there with laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, gel hand soap, oxygen boost powder and travel sizes. The result is a cleaning routine that takes up about a quarter of the shelf space, with refill pouches replacing the parade of new plastic bottles. It feels less like swapping one product for another and more like a small reset of how cleaning actually works in your home.
A family story behind the formula
Branch Basics didn’t start in a lab. It started around a kitchen table in the Texas Hill Country.

Co-founder Marilee Nelson spent decades helping people heal from chronic illness, after using food and a clean home environment to support her own son’s recovery from severe chemical injury. When her niece Allison came to stay one summer, struggling with chronic pain and a PCOS diagnosis, months in a toxin-free home helped restore her health. Co-founder Kelly Love had a similar moment of clarity when symptoms she’d long written off, like headaches and fatigue, began to fade after removing everyday toxins from her home.
Three women, three experiences, one question they kept hearing from friends and clients: where do I even start? Branch Basics is what they built to answer it.
“Human-safe” is the whole point
Plenty of brands use words like natural, plant-based or non-toxic. Branch Basics built its own standard called human-safe, and it’s worth understanding what they mean by it.

Their formulas are designed to be safe for the most sensitive people in any household, including babies, pregnant women, people with chemical sensitivities and even pets. Every ingredient is plant or mineral derived, with no synthetic fragrance, no harsh preservatives and no greenwashed shortcuts. The brand is MADE SAFE Verified, EWG Verified and Leaping Bunny Certified.
The promise is simple. If it’s safe for the most sensitive person in your home, it’s safe for everyone else too.
The waste angle, without the lecture
Cleaning products are one of the most overlooked sources of household waste and daily chemical exposure.
Most conventional cleaners are mostly water, packaged in bulky single-use bottles and shipped that way. Branch Basics flips that model. You get a small concentrate, reuse the same bottles and dilute at home. That means less plastic, less shipping weight and fewer products manufactured per household over time. Their move into formats like dishwasher tablets pushes that same idea even further.

It’s a quietly meaningful difference, and it adds up over the years a household uses these products.
Beyond the bottle
What stands out about Branch Basics is that they don’t stop at the product. Their Toss the Toxins course walks people through a full home reset, with decades of experience built into a practical, guided format.
For busy households, that’s where the real win lives. Better products are good. Better products plus a clear path to actually using them is what makes change stick.
Why it matters
Cleaning is one of those everyday routines that quietly shapes your environment. What you use, how often you use it and how many products you rely on all add up over time.
Branch Basics shows how rethinking that routine can lead to fewer products, fewer unknowns and a simpler, more intentional way to care for your home.
