Dropps Gets A New Look for Cleaner Home Care

If Dropps looks a little different the next time you spot it on a store shelf, there’s a reason.

The clean home care brand has rolled out a new identity spanning its packaging, website and social channels, along with a streamlined product lineup focused on its two core categories: Laundry Pods and Dishwasher Pods.

But there’s more behind the refresh than a new look. Dropps is also putting greater emphasis on the ingredients, science and third-party certifications behind products designed to tackle everyday messes without asking consumers to leave their cleaner-living priorities at the laundry room door.

Messy Life, Cleaner Choices

Dropps’ new positioning — “Messy Life. Kind Ingredients. Actually Clean.” — is built around a pretty relatable idea: a cleaner home doesn’t require a perfectly tidy life.

The company’s biobased formulas use plant-derived cleaning agents and enzymes to tackle everything from food and grease to workout odors and everyday stains. Its Laundry Detergent Pods use six different enzymes targeting different types of messes, while the company continues to formulate without ingredients including phthalates, phosphates, dyes, chlorine, parabens and optical brighteners.

Dropps also is highlighting some new third-party credentials. Its Laundry Detergent Pods have earned both the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance and National Psoriasis Foundation Seal of Recognition, while its Dishwasher Pods are now EWG Verified and EPA Safer Choice certified.

And the low-waste approach that has long been central to Dropps remains part of the package — literally. Its concentrated pods come in 100% plastic-free paperboard packaging rather than the large plastic jugs that still dominate the laundry aisle.

A Cleaner Approach More Than 30 Years in the Making

The new identity is the latest chapter in a story Dropps has been building for more than three decades.

The certified B Corp and public benefit corporation has focused on concentrated, biobased laundry and dish products designed to reduce unnecessary ingredients, water use and plastic waste. What began largely as a direct-to-consumer model has increasingly moved onto physical store shelves, with Dropps products now available through retailers including Target, H-E-B and Wegmans.

Seeing Green has followed that evolution for a while. We previously named Dropps a Seeing Green Solutionist of the Day and caught up with the team at Natural Products Expo West to get a closer look at its laundry and dish pods and talk about how the company is approaching performance, ingredients, packaging and waste.

That performance piece matters. Making a cleaning product with thoughtful ingredients and less plastic is useful only if people actually want to keep using it — particularly when the alternative is grabbing a familiar detergent off the shelf.

Dropps’ refreshed identity puts that idea front and center: cleaner ingredients and less waste don’t have to come at the expense of getting the dishes clean or the smoothie stain out of your shirt.

The boxes may look different. The bigger idea behind them remains pretty familiar: make an everyday household routine a little cleaner in more ways than one.
