Found: The Superfood Hidden Inside Chocolate - Blue Stripes Shows

With nearly 70% of the cacao fruit traditionally left as waste during chocolate production, Blue Stripes is working to show what else this overlooked superfruit can become.

At Sweets & Snacks Expo 2026, Seeing Green spoke with Blue Stripes about the company’s mission to utilize 100% of the cacao fruit across products like superfruit gummies, superfood water and chocolate bars sweetened with cacao fruit ingredients instead of traditional refined sugar approaches.

The conversation explores Blue Stripes’ focus on reducing food waste, supporting cacao farmers in Ecuador and creating nutrient-dense snacks and beverages from parts of the cacao fruit that historically have been discarded by the chocolate industry.
