Asket Is Redefining What a “Collection” Should Be

Founded in Stockholm in 2015, Asket was built around a deceptively simple idea: what if clothing was designed to stand the test of time, rather than chase trends?

Instead of launching seasonal drops or endless newness, the brand commits to a single, permanent collection of refined essentials made to endure. It is a deliberate shift away from fashion churn and toward long-term value, clarity and restraint.

Asket invites us to rethink our relationship with clothing, and that’s what makes them a Seeing Green Solutionist of the Day.

(story continues below)

A Permanent Wardrobe, Refined Over Time

Asket creates timeless essentials for men and women: crisp button-downs, tailored trousers, premium denim, breathable linen shirts, structured knits, slip dresses, outerwear and everyday tees. The aesthetic is minimalist and Scandinavian in feel, with neutral palettes, clean lines and silhouettes designed to evolve with you rather than expire with a season.

Rather than overwhelming customers with options, each garment has “earned its slot.” Pieces are continuously refined instead of replaced, meaning improvements happen quietly and intentionally. The brand also offers a custom sizing system to help more people find their best fit without tailoring guesswork. This is clothing meant for real daily life: versatile, polished and built to age well.

The Pursuit of Less, Framed Positively

At the heart of Asket is a philosophy they call The Pursuit of Less. But this is not about deprivation. It is about clarity. The brand’s stated goal is to liberate daily life from clutter and excess, offering purposeful pieces that bring lasting fulfillment.

Instead of feeding fast consumption, Asket promotes a healthier rhythm: buy thoughtfully, invest in quality and keep garments in rotation longer. It is a positive, practical alternative to fast fashion, one that respects both people and planet while honoring the value of good design.

Natural, Mono-Material Foundations

One of the brand’s most compelling commitments is its focus on natural, unblended mono-materials. Natural fibres are renewable, biodegradable and often recyclable. They breathe better, absorb moisture naturally and develop character over time. They soften, patina and tell a story.

Asket now sources exclusively natural fibres for its main materials. In 2025, the brand completes its transition away from synthetic main fabrics, limiting synthetics only to secondary yarns used for stretch or reinforcement.

Their material lineup reflects that intention:

  • Organic cotton sourced from certified farms

  • SUPIMA® extra-long staple cotton for strength and longevity

  • NATIVA™ regenerative, mulesing-free traceable Merino wool

  • European flax linen requiring minimal irrigation

  • Italian-milled recycled wool for knits and outerwear

  • Recycled cashmere from post-consumer garments

  • Lenzing Tencel™ Lyocell produced in a closed-loop system

  • Recycled synthetics used sparingly for reinforcement only

It is a systems-based approach to fibre selection that prioritizes durability and end-of-life responsibility.

Repair First, Replace Last

Asket does not consider a sale the end of the story. The brand repairs garments for free in its stores, offers a buy-back program and even ships complimentary spare parts globally for local repair.

Customers can request buttons, matching threads, zippers, drawstrings, labels and even fabric pieces for patching. It is a tangible commitment to extending garment life rather than nudging customers toward replacement.

This repair-first model reinforces the idea that clothing is something to care for, not discard.

Radical Transparency

Beyond materials and repair, Asket discloses detailed supply chain, cost and footprint information for every product. Impact receipts outline carbon emissions, water use and energy inputs. Manufacturing is transparent and largely European-based.

That level of openness empowers consumers to make informed decisions rather than marketing-driven ones.

As Co-Founder August Bard Bringéus puts it, the vision is “a world free from mindless consumption. A shift from the intoxication of instant gratification, to the satisfaction of focusing on what really matters to us.”

In a world defined by excess, Asket is choosing permanence, refinement and responsibility. And in doing so, they are helping shift fashion from fast cycles to long-term value, one essential at a time.
